You may be familiar with Boardgamegeek.com, the largest user-supported, fan-generated compendium of boardgame information on the 'Net. Well, they've launched Geekdo (rpg.geekdo.com), a sister site dedicated to cataloguing, commentary, and discussion of RPGs (all under the Creative Commons license).
Dominion Rules is listed at Geekdo as an RPG (the metaphoric descriptor for the entire collection of materials that make up Dominion Rules) and two items are in the queue for addition to the catalog - The 3.0 rulebook, and the 3.1 rulebook - no, not the actual files, just catalog entries and descriptions of them. Expect the admins to approve the item listings in a day or two. [For more info about the data model for this complex undertaking - read: http://rpg.geekdo.com/wiki/page/Guide_to_Data_Entry].
Here's where things get fun! You can check for the items to appear in the "Items" section on the RPG system's catalog page at Geekdo: http://rpg.geekdo.com/rpg/1507. * When they do, players will want to hop over and offer ratings, comments, and even reviews of the rulesets. Designers posting notes and commentary will help drive conversation, too! * You can also update the catalog entries by adding additional detail (for example, the catalogue entries in the queue miss Oksana Romanova for the artwork credit, but that's easily added). * You could also create additional catalog entries for the previous versions of the ruleset. * You can upload photos and fan-created content, too!
Anyway, as a fan of Geekdo who finds the DR ruleset intriguing - I checked out the entries and tried to improve them. In doing so (providing links to this site from Geekdo), I discovered your great new site - and thought you'd want to know about the Geekdo listing so you can build a good presence for the game there!
This looks really interesting Vince. Thanks for letting us know, and keep using the Forums to update us on developments. Meanwhile we'll head over to RPG Geekdo to learn more!
